Domain Registration

Using the Domain Search Widget:

  1. Access Search: Use the domain search widget on our homepage or domain management page
  2. Enter Domain: Type your desired domain name
  3. Check Availability: View availability across multiple extensions
  4. Select Domains: Choose from available domains and extensions
  5. Complete Registration: Provide accurate contact information and complete payment

Registration Requirements

Required Information:

  • Registrant Contact: Legal owner of the domain
  • Administrative Contact: Person responsible for domain management
  • Technical Contact: Technical point of contact
  • Billing Contact: Billing and payment contact

Accuracy Requirements:

  • All contact information must be accurate and current
  • Phone numbers must be valid and reachable
  • Email addresses must be monitored and responsive
  • Addresses must be complete and accurate

Important: Providing false or inaccurate registration information can result in domain suspension or loss. Always keep your contact information current.

Managing DNS Records

Adding DNS Records:

  1. Navigate to "Domains" → Select your domain
  2. Click "Manage DNS" or "DNS Zone Editor"
  3. Click "Add Record"
  4. Select record type (A, CNAME, MX, TXT, etc.)
  5. Enter record details (name, value, TTL)
  6. Save the record

Editing Existing Records:

  1. Find the record in your DNS zone
  2. Click "Edit" next to the record
  3. Modify the record values as needed
  4. Update TTL if necessary
  5. Save changes

DNS Propagation:

  • Local Changes: Usually effective within 15 minutes
  • Global Propagation: 24-48 hours for worldwide propagation
  • TTL Impact: Lower TTL values propagate faster

Domain Transfers

Transferring Domains TO UncleBTech

Transfer Requirements:

  • Domain must be unlocked at current registrar
  • Valid authorization code (EPP code) from current registrar
  • Domain must not be within 60 days of registration or previous transfer
  • Contact information must be accurate and accessible

Transfer Process:

  1. Unlock Domain: Unlock domain at your current registrar
  2. Get Auth Code: Obtain authorization code from current registrar
  3. Initiate Transfer: Start transfer process in UncleBTech portal
  4. Provide Auth Code: Enter authorization code when prompted
  5. Confirm Transfer: Respond to transfer confirmation emails
  6. Complete Transfer: Transfer typically completes within 5-7 days

Transferring Domains FROM UncleBTech

Transfer-Out Process:

  1. Ensure Account Good Standing: Pay any outstanding balances
  2. Request Auth Code: Submit request for authorization code
  3. Unlock Domain: Domain will be unlocked for transfer
  4. Receive Auth Code: Authorization code provided within 5 business days
  5. Initiate at New Registrar: Start transfer process at your new registrar

Transfer Policies:

  • No transfer fees charged by UncleBTech
  • Domain must not be within 60 days of registration
  • All contact information must be current
  • Account must be in good standing

Transfer Timeline and Expectations

Typical Transfer Timeline:

Day 1: Transfer initiated, auth code provided
Day 2-3: Transfer request processed by registries
Day 4-5: Transfer confirmation emails sent
Day 6-7: Transfer completed and domain active

Transfer Includes:
